OUR ORIGINAL RECIPE HASN'T CHANGED
In 1980, Strick's was a hot convenient store for gas, groceries, and fried chicken. The BBQ business started when J.S. Strickland threw some extra ribs and chicken on the grill while the family was hectic for another typical holiday rush. Those extras landed in the hands of hungry customers, and it was gone in no time. Customers kept asking, and it became a weekend tradition. Over 35 years later, a few more grills, and a lot more help, we’re still celebrating everyday at our family owned and operated business that has become a Mississippi tradition with great food and a catering service that can feed thousands.
